Company History

Founded in 1963 as a small handicraft business by the engraving master Herbert Spilker, Spilker is til today a family-operated company and the third generation is already influencing the company‘ s business affairs actively and innovatively.

Spilker has evolved from the formerly regional tool manufacturer to one of the leading suppliers of rotary cutting tools.

Herbert Spilker founds the Spilker Gravieranstalt (engraving company)

1978

Production of the first rotary cutting tool 

1983

Acquisition of the first CNC-machine 

1987

Construction of the company building in Leopoldshöhe-Greste

1988

Start of production of flexible dies 

1993

Market launch SONIC air tools

1994 - 2001

Constant extension of the company site and the production

Mechanical sharpening of rotary cutters

Market launch Variabase

Production of flexible dies up to a size of 860 mm x 1050 mm

New line of business: Construction of rotary machines

Extension of the production area by 3200 m²

Market launch MEP tools

Extension of the production area for the assembly of rotary machines by another hall with 300 m²
